How To Present Yourself In a Job Interview
In an interview, to portray a positive personal image about yourself you must firstly be presented well. The dress code for a job interview is shirt and tie. First impressions are very important. Be on time or even a little early. Never be late, chances are that you will not get the job. Also being early shows that you are eager. Do your research about the company so that you may answer any questions the interviewer might ask. Be polite and confident; these are very desirable qualities.  My UCAS Personal Statement

As someone who is fascinated by and has a long-standing interest in new media I feel that I
have acquired a significant and extensive range of skills that would allow me to achieve my
ambitions through further study. I am applying to this course because I have always had a keen
interest in film and design. My career goal is to work in the film industry in a creative
capacity but I am more than willing to work my way towards achieving that goal. The process of
making films fascinates me and I would enjoy being creative with film technology, ideas and
techniques. In this new media world that is globally connected where people create and consume
media on everything from a television screen to an iPad I am excited by the flexibility it
affords designers and media content creators. In both my personal and academic life I am a
highly motivated individual and am prepared to work very hard to achieve my goals. From my in
depth research I am confident that this course will allow me to acquire the qualifications and
skills needed to continue into the industry and succeed in pursuing my career goals.
What I enjoy about this industry is seeing an idea come to life, the process is fascinating
and I would like to study more about how everything comes together to create the final
product. In this respect I prefer to be significantly involved in the entire process from
pre-production through production to post production.I am currently studying a BTEC Extended
National Diploma in Interactive Media. What interests me the most on this course is 'getting
my hands dirty' within filming and editing. I have a very hand on approach and like to
experiment with the mechanics of productionI have many inspirations that inform my work. Chief
amongst them is a film called "Gamer" directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. In this
film there are hardly any still shots and there is a gritty feel to the whole mise-en-scene of
the film.Another inspiration of mine is the music video 'Chase and Status - Pieces' directed
by Ben Drew There is a section in this video where the character is rushing home and singing
to the camera. They use a form of stop animation to show that he is moving quickly and not
strolling home. I am therefore very intrigued by imaginative and innovative ways that other
filmmakers and designers have explored their craft.
In year 10, I had work experience in a computer repair shop. I had to replace keyboards and
laptop screens to a tight deadline. This shows that I can work fast and effectively as well as
meeting strict deadlines in order to ensure a smooth and efficient service to customers.
I have organised three freerunning and skate events In Cardiff, Hereford and Bristol. All
these involved co-ordinating people and venues through social networking sites in order to
make the events a success.I am very capable working independently as I am comfortable
self-producing videos about freerunning which are then uploaded. I am however equally
comfortable working collaboratively. I am extremely confident and have excellent communication
skills. I prefer being a team leader than a team member but I work well as both. I like to
take control when filming projects or just filming for fun.
In my spare time I like to skate and freerun. The skills that are necessary to Freerun are
strength, agility, motivation and focus.I find it easy to get along with new people and I work
well in a group.
To sum myself up I am full of energy and enthusiasm. I like to keep everyone in a happy mood
for a better team performance.I believe that by studying at this level it will allow me to
achieve my goals and produce work that is innovative, engaging and perhaps even challenging. I
would welcome the chance to do so.

Skills for Television Advertisement

For Television Advertisement, agencies will look for graduates from a broad range of degree disciplines, although a qualification in business studies, media studies, psychology, marketing or advertising is sometimes preferable. Qualifications needed for advertising planning, which is often a jumping off point for higher management, typically include economics, psychology, mathematics, statistics, or one of the sciences degrees.
Often a well presented CV with relevant experience will be just as good. You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a certain amount of creative flair. Also, you need to show evidence of organisational ability, lateral and logical thinking
